The Boilers Society of Victoria

The Boilers Society of Victoria has been operating for over 65 years and is believed to be the oldest gay club operating in Australia. We have a steady membership and are looking forward to expanding our membership, ensuring the group’s longevity into the future. The group consists of gay and gay-friendly mature people. The Boilers is a social club meeting monthly for friendship and socialising over drinks and supper, with a short informal meeting.

Other functions include luncheons, trips, and restaurant nights (there’s something held each month). We hold special events on Halloween, Cup Day, and Australia Day, and we hold a Christmas Party. Interested new members are most welcome to attend as a guest before making a commitment.

Our members are from the suburbs around Melbourne, and we also have country members who attend our functions/meetings when possible. Meetings are held in the clubrooms in South Melbourne every 2nd Saturday evening of the month.
